We are currently recruiting for a new member of the AAC. The successful appointee will have the requisite experience and will meet Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) 'fit and proper' test

The Alumni Advisory Committee (AAC) is comprised of alumni who are elected by the entire alumni community and confirmed by the Board of Trustees to advise on alumni matters. The AAC contributes to the governance of IDS ensuring that the alumni voice is heard at Board level. The AAC also guides and supports the work of the IDS Alumni Office.

What is the process of applying?

All IDS alumni (anyone who has finished studying at IDS) are eligible to apply. You need to complete a short application form outlining your relevent experience and what you will bring as a member of the Committee. Applications are being accepted up to and including (date)

All applications will be reviewed by a sub-committee of the AAC and they will make a recommendation of the new member to the Board of Trustees via the Nominations Committee.

We are aiming for the new member to be approved at the June 2025 Board meeting; with a first term start date of 1 July 2025.

Please complete this short online form in order to be considered.

What's the commitment?

Members are appointed for an inital 4 year term, followed by 2 or 4 years renewal option, up to a maximum of 8 years total.

Members are expected to attend regular AAC meetings (three 2 hour meetings per year), and are encouraged to help with ad-hoc projects in between meetings. All members of the AAC are asked to be proactive in supporting alumni events and in connecting with IDS Alumni network volunteers.

AAC meetings are held virtually on Microsoft Teams and you will need to have access to a good stable internet connection to engage effectively with IDS and the rest of the AAC.
