IDS Alumni Network Mentoring & Advice Programmes

Our Mentoring & Advice Programme facilitates three kinds of mentoring and advice for professional and careers development

Discover Ask-An-Alum

Ask-an-Alum is our online tool for quick advice and knowledge sharing over one or two virtual sessions

Use it to find and connect with Online Mentors for support and advice on a variety of professional development and careers related topics

Useful for creating a space for impactful knowledge sharing with no pressure for a long-term relationship (although it can be a trial for a new one-on-one mentoring relationship)

Discover Matched Mentoring

Matched Mentoring is one-on-one mentoring which is probably what comes to mind when you think of mentoring.

We match one mentor and one mentee to enter into a 6-month relationship to help the mentee develop, improve, and achieve their goals.

The IDS Alumni Network Matched Mentoring scheme is administrated by the Alumni Relations Office and is open for applications from new mentors and mentees in October and January.

Discover Group Mentoring

Group mentoring is a form of mentoring where one mentor works with several mentees in a group setting

Mentees are the driving force in Group Mentoring, as each mentee brings their own goals, perspectives, and experiences.

We recommend this for those who learn best collaboratively.

Discover Mentoring

Our programming looks to contribute to the career and professional development of our alumni and students

We have support available to mentors and mentees using any of our three schemes
