Alumni Network Mentors

You can volunteer to be a mentor in one or all of our mentoring schemes

Ask-an-alum needs mentors who can be available for quick advice and support on a variety of careers and professional development topics. For example, mentors who are happy to provide CV advice, interview preparation support, PhD application support and more. Find out more about being an online mentor.

Matched Mentoring needs alumni network mentors who can be available for a 6-month mentoring relationship, usually meeting once a month for an hour. Applications for Matched Mentoring are open twice a year (normally September and February) with matching happening soon after. Find out more about Matched Mentoring.

Group Mentoring is where one mentor works with a group of mentees at once in a group. We need alumni network mentors who can meet with a group once a month for 6-months with a specific area of expertise to share. Usually takes place with a group of students in the Spring Term. Find out more about Group Mentoring.

We offer support and guidance for all of our mentors, including workshops with a specialist and access to online helpful resources.
