You may submit up to three different blog concepts. Each concept outline can be up to 100 words and can be anything from personal narratives to op-eds. Have a look at the previous blogs on our website to get a feel for the range of ideas that you could submit. 

The deadline for you to send us blog ideas is by the end of Sunday the 3rd of November.  

After this time, we will send everyone’s ideas to the Alumni Advisory Committee (AAC) where the panel will vote on their favourite 5 ideas who will then be commissioned to write their blog. The Alumni Advisory Committee is made up of alumni volunteers who contribute directly to IDS strategies and plans. 

If your blog is chosen, you will be paid £60 for your work. You will receive resources and support from the Alumni Office to help with getting started and the IDS Comms team will assist with copy-editing. We will let you know by early December if you have been successful in the shortlisting process. You will then have up to the 28th of February 2025 to write you blog and submit it to the Alumni Office.
