Our alumni network creates opportunities for alumni to create connections across continents, cohorts and year groups. The IDS alumni network is a vast source of practical and professional expertise, support and guidance for alumni at all stages of their career. We want to enhance professional networks by connecting alumni across the globe with others who share IDS's distinctive approach to development theory and practice. The value and worth of the online network is dependent on the participation and engagement of those who wish to benefit - the more you contribute the more you will gain from it. We encourage everyone to share- blogs, resources, photos, jobs, learning opportunities and to engage in dialogue around other's posts. If you asking for help or advice be as specific as you can to make it easier for others to respond and ensure you get useful input- and don't forget to follow-up with thanks and to let them know how the advice helped you.

Online Mentoring & Advice Facility

If you wish to ask for help or advice we recommend that you look at the mentoring and advice facility available on the alumni website. This helps members of the IDS alumni website to find a long-term mentor, and/or to find someone to help with a specific query. See guidance for those looking for a mentor/advicealumni mentoring best practice and find out how to be a featured mentor.
