This is your chance to explore with experienced facilitators about what leadership in global development means for you and how this fits with established leadership styles. You'l learn more about yourself and the people around you and have the chance to meet with other students outside of your IDS course.
All those who complete the course will receive a certificate and be considered first for Group Mentoring with Roy in the Spring Term. Roy is an IDS alum and experienced leader, and will be taking part in the Q&A in the final workshop.
As we have very limited spaces we asking all IDS Students who are interested to register via a short form to tell us a bit more about yourself, if we are over-subscribed we will base acceptance on the information given in the form.
Course participants are expected to attend all three workshops and do some light homework in between workshops. Please note that this is an in-person course, there is no option to join virtually.
The course is being designed and delivered by a Brighton based organisation called 16 Degrees, who specialise in coaching changemakers to lead the way to fairer and more sustainable futures. The course will be highly interactive and will provide you leadership skills that will take you through IDS and into your future careers.
This course is free and available only to IDS Students (you must be registered for the academic year 2023/24 and enrolled on an IDS Course. This includes those students enrolled on jointly convened courses like MA Food & Development and MSc Climate Change, Development & Policy).
