The Email-for-Life is a service available to all IDS alumni; it is a permanent @alumni.ids.ac.uk email address, with an option to redirect mail from that account to another email address. Alumni report having used their email-for-life for job applications; connecting with other alumni; staying in touch with IDS etc.
More than likely at the end of October. You will receive an email to tell you when this will happen and don't worry emails sent to your ids.ac.uk will still reach you even after they have changed to alumni.ids.ac.uk
Open an internet browser and navigate to this address https://portal.office.com
Enter your IDS username as [username]@ids.ac.uk e.g. toms@ids.ac.uk* (do not use your email address, if you cannot remember your IDS username please complete this short form and we will be able to help you.
Please wait for the next logon box to appear and then enter your IDS [username]@ids.ac.uk and your current IDS password.
For security, always sign out and close the browser (not just the page) when using a public computer e.g. airport, library etc. or a computer that does not belong to you e.g. a friend’s computer.
*Please note, that if you started at IDS prior to 2013 then you will need to enter your IDS username as [username]@alumni.ids.ac.uk

No. Access to IDS provided OneDrive folders will be lost, and if you downloaded Microsoft Office with your 365 account these will change to a read-only state.
