On Friday 5 July I was delighted to welcome the return of around half the class of MA Gender & Development from 1999 back to IDS. Some of whom hadn't seen in each since graduating 20 years ago.

Following a quick lunch the group quickly settled back into the IDS way of doing things, with a roundtable (without tables) on gender in practice. (It was in room 220, perhaps a room that some of you may recognised as the old computer room?) As it was a lunchtime seminar everyone was welcome, and I was really happy to see a packed room, with a number of current IDS students joining in the discussions.

After tea, cake and photos the reunioners took the opportunity of the nice weather to catch up with each other on the last 20 years outside the doors of 120/121 - reminiscing about the Robert Chambers participation workshops at they did so.

I know that a lot of reunion members stayed at IDS and in Brighton over the weekend and spent a lot of time together catching up on old times and making new memories. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and hope that they will return to IDS a lot sooner than 20 years!
