About the IDS Social Entrepreneurship Initiative

The Social Entrepreneurship Initiative is a dynamic community formed by both students and alumni of IDS who share a common interest in developing their social enterprises and ideas. This initiative serves as a collaborative platform, fostering an environment where members can nurture their social entrepreneurship endeavors. Recognizing that effecting positive change demands not just innovative concepts, but also a network of support and access to the right resources, this initiative aims to provide precisely that.

Within the framework of the initiative, participants engage in interactive peer-consulting sessions. These sessions serve as a forum for sharing ideas, exchanging insights, addressing challenges, and seeking mentorship from like-minded individuals. What sets this experience apart is the invaluable expertise contributed by our accomplished alumni, who hail from a wide range of industries and geographical regions. Their diverse perspectives serve as a wellspring of guidance tailored to the specific needs of each member.

The driving force behind the Social Entrepreneurship Initiative is the shared enthusiasm and determination of both IDS students and alumni to make a tangible positive impact on society. It is a platform for realizing aspirations and channeling efforts toward creating meaningful change. As we set forth on this remarkable journey, we invite you to join us in crafting a brighter, more sustainable future through the collaborative forces of innovation and social entrepreneurship.

By becoming part of the inaugural group of our Community of Practice (CoP), you assume a significant role in shaping the initiative's forthcoming structure. Your insights and feedback are pivotal in refining the program, ensuring its effectiveness for the generations of social entrepreneurs yet to come.
