The Barbados Alumni Network arranges a get-together at least once a year to catch up and discuss what we can do to support IDS throughout the following year. This usually occurs in February so we can celebrate with any new alumni their recent graduation and invite prospective students to join us.

Last year, alumni organsed IDS50 events across the world to celebrate IDS’s 50th anniversary. To promote similar events within Barbados, the IDS alumni office is keen to provide support for us to organise and hold seminars about the Sustainable Development Goals and initiatives on the island.

Through this online portal, issues impacting Barbados such as sustainable development, governance, trade, private sector development, climate change, environmental protection, social protection, finance and labour are addressed.

Multimedia context is also available for research purposes.
